CLIA Regulations Overview
The final CLIA-88 regulations were published in the Federal Register on February 28, 1992, with additional standards released in January 1993. CLIA regulates all laboratory testing performed on humans in the United States to ensure accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of patient test results.
